PVC piping makes a Sewer Line Repair more predictable however if your home was built prior to 1972 there were multiple materials used for these installations and are prone to deterioration. If your home was built in Louisville Kentucky between 1972-1980 your sewer pipe could be Terra-cotta (clay), Orangeburg (compressed paper), or PVC sewer piping.
If your home fits one of the above timeframes and you're having frequent sewer problems then you might want ASI Plumbing to use a Sewer Pipe Inspection Camera to view the inside of your sewer pipe to evaluate its condition. Often we'll find a broken and fractured sewer pipe and aggressive roots that have made a home inside your sewer. Perception would be to just cut the roots out of the sewer, however, like any tree pruning, the roots will grow back and more aggressively. The only REAL FIX for a cracked and broken sewer piping is a Sewer Line Repair or Sewer Line Replacement.
